Protecting the Giant Tree

Mr. Juan Noa and Rubén Pinedo, are farmers and nature lovers, they dedicate themselves to their crops and to the protection of their Shihuahuaco trees and other species such as Chestnut and Shiringa, native trees of the Peruvian Amazon that are found within of their lands. They mention that the shihuahuaco is the famous treasure pursued by loggers, due to the quality of the wood, this represents a threat and danger to the entire Amazon. Farmers Juan and Rubén are an example to follow since they took the initiative and commitment to say no to the deforestation of this species. The Shihuahuaco Tree is also known as the Giant Tree because of the height it can reach and the thickness of the Tree, it also plays an important role in the ecosystem and is the habitat of many animals and birds.
